NTT DATA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT CONSULTING, INC and 2021.AI Initiate Collaboration to Promote Global AI Risk Management

NTT DATA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT CONSULTING, INC(Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shigeki Yamaguchi; hereinafter “the Company”) and 2021. AI (Headquarters: Denmark, CEO: Mikael Munck, hereinafter “2021.AI”) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on September 25, 2025, aimed at establishing a cooperative framework to advance AI risk management and AI governance.

‍【 Background and Details of the Agreement 】
NTT DATA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT CONSULTING, Inc. and 2021.AI provides consulting services on AI governance to advance the utilization of AI in society and industry.By combining the expertise of NTT DATA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT CONSULTING, INC in AI governance and track record in the Japanese market with 2021.AI's cutting-edge centralized AI risk management solution technology, along with international AI risk management insights from Europe and beyond, we will contribute to solving challenges faced by domestic and international companies and public institutions when utilizing AI.To realize a human-centered AI society, both companies have decided to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the aim of establishing a cooperative relationship.‍Furthermore, based on this MoU, both companies will undertake the following activities going forward.

• Raise awareness of AI risk management and AI governance based on global standards, and advocate for the importance of AI risk management to the market
• Promote joint business development of AI risk management consulting and solutions in international markets, including Japan

‍Furthermore, the specific scope of cooperation is as follows:

1. Localization and Commercialization of AI Risk Management Methods and Solutions
   • NTT DATA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT CONSULTING, INC and 2021.AI will collaborate to apply and localize 2021.AI's consulting methodologies and technical solutions (such as the “2021.AI” GRACE Risk Management and Mitigation Framework) for Japan and other target markets, supporting their market launch.
2. Provision of AI Risk Management Consulting Services
   • Both companies will collaborate to provide consulting services to enhance clients' AI risk management capabilities.
3. Exchange of Regulatory and Market Intelligence
   • Collaborate on sharing information regarding international AI governance regulations, emerging social needs, and industry challenges, utilizing these insights to improve service delivery

Future Plans
‍Through this MoU, NTT DATA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT CONSULTING, INC and “2021.AI” will contribute to the global adaption of safe and reliable AI by collaborating in the field of AI risk management.

この度、株式会社NTTデータ経営研究所（所在地：東京都千代田区　代表取締役社長：山口　重樹　以下、当社）と2021.AI（本社：デンマーク、CEO：　Mikael Munck 以下「2021.AI」）は、AIリスク管理およびAIガバナンスの推進に向けた協力枠組みを確立することを目的とした覚書（MoU）を2025年9月25日付けで締結しましたのでお知らせします。

【 締結の背景とその内容 】

当社は、社会や産業におけるAIの活用を進めるために、AIガバナンスに関するコンサルティングサービスを提供しています。

このたび、当社のAIガバナンス分野での知見や日本市場での実績と、2021.AI社が持つ先端的な集中型AIリスク管理ソリューションの技術、さらに欧州をはじめとする国際的なAIリスク管理の知見を組み合わせることで、国内外の企業や公的機関がAIを活用する際に直面する課題の解決に貢献していきます。

そして、人間中心のAI社会の実現を目指すため、両社は協力関係を築くことを目的として、MoU（覚書）を締結することとしました。

なお、このMoUに基づき、今後両社では以下の活動を行ってまいります。

• グローバル基準に基づくAIリスク管理およびAIガバナンスの意識向上を図り、市場に対するAIリスク管理の重要性を訴求
• 日本を含む国際市場において、AIリスク管理コンサルティングおよびソリューションの共同事業開発を推進

また、協力の具体的な範囲は以下の通りです。

1. AIリスク管理の手法とソリューションの現地化と商業化
   
   • 当社と２０２１．AI社のコンサルティング手法および技術ソリューション（「2021.AI」のGRACEリスク管理・軽減フレームワークなど）を、日本およびその他のターゲット市場向けに適用・現地化し、市場投入において協力する
2. AIリスク管理コンサルティングサービスの提供
   
   • クライアントのAIリスク管理能力を向上させるため、両社が連携してコンサルティングサービスを提供
3. 規制および市場インテリジェンスの共有
   
   • 国際的なAIガバナンス規制、新興する社会ニーズ、業界の課題について情報を共有し、これらの知見をサービス提供に活用

今後について

当社と「2021.AI」は、このMoU締結により、今後AIリスク管理の分野での協力を通じて、安全で信頼性の高いAIの世界的な普及に貢献してまいります。
